Staring up and the night sky
listening to the wind whistle by
Eyes closed, I inch close
On this high and rocky coast
Grass sways against my fingers
I try to smile but the tears still linger
Memories flash before my eyes
The happy, the sad especially the lies
My chest tightens, my heart gallops on
As the drop to the sea sings it’s sad sweet song
With the snap of a twig and the crackle of dry grass
I know he has come to join me at last
A warm guiding hand and a comforting embrace
With him I know, I am home, I am safe
