Mental health feelings

Please let me sleep

Laying in the dark staring at the ceiling, every night praying for sleep and knowing it won’t come. Eyes stinging, dry and gritty. Listening to the clock tick down, counting the seconds, please, please let me sleep.
Days and nights blur together, weeks pass without you noticing, Lost in a daze, barely making it through each day, never awake, never asleep. Insomnia is rotting your brain, everything becomes fuzzy and confusing, you’re unsure of things you said and did and totally forget about the rest. Days are just a depressing grey blur, something to endure, to get through. Just so you can get back to bed and lay in the dark, staring at the ceiling.
